Project description
In 2021, O!Poka was invited by the Podlasie Institute of Culture to create graphic materials promoting the E-tradycja project. While designing 41 posters promoting Podlasie folk artists, we had the opportunity to explore the region’s rich weaving heritage.
Inspired by these experiences, we wanted to create our own series of posters referencing the work of Podlasie weavers, such as Alicja Kochanowska, Ludgarda Sieńko, Bernarda Rość, Irena Ignaciuk, Sabina Knoch, Karolina Radulska, Danuta Radulska, and Lucyna Kędzierska. With their blessing, we are developing the New Thread series, in which we transform traditional textile patterns using computer graphics techniques, including AI image processing.
